3.2. Participants move only on foot (in MTB distances – by bicycle), navigating using the map provided by the organizers. Electronic navigation devices may only be used when lost.
3.3. Traffic is not stopped during the competition. Participants must follow Latvian road traffic regulations, the instructions of judges and organizers, and the marked areas on the course and in the competition centre.
3.4. Organizers reserve the right to delay the start, change the course of the event, hold teams on the course, or stop the competition due to dangerous weather conditions or other safety-related risks.
3.5. Teams may include a company or organization name/brand in the team name and place stickers on equipment or clothing according to these rules. Any promotional activity at the event not coordinated with the organizers is prohibited. The penalty for non-compliance is 2000 EUR. Advertising is permitted on participants’ clothing, footwear, and equipment (backpacks, etc.).
3.6. Organizers reserve the right to change or amend these rules at any time before or during the event.

8. COURSE PROCEDURE AND PUNCHING

8.1. The competition follows LOF-approved rogaining rules unless stated otherwise. Latvian version: https://rogaining.lv/web/noteikumi.
8.2. Before the start, each participant receives a competition map.
8.3. The participant number must be worn visibly on clothing or backpack.
8.4. Punching is done using the SPORTIdent system. SI cards are assigned to the team, not individual team members.
8.5. For a checkpoint to count, all team members must punch within two minutes. Only the first punch is counted. Do not approach the checkpoint until all team members are ready.
8.6. SI cards must be attached to the wrist using the provided wristbands in a way that prevents removal without breaking. Breaking the wristband may result in penalties or disqualification.
8.7. If the SI station does not respond, damaged KP procedures on the map must be followed.
8.8. Finish time is taken from the last team member’s punch at the finish. SI cards and rented equipment must be returned immediately.
8.9. 1 penalty point is deducted for each minute over time. Over 30 minutes late = zero points. Checkpoints visited after the time limit are not counted.
8.10. A broken SI wristband results in a 5-point penalty.
8.11. Fair play principles must be observed. Running with a dog is only allowed on a leash. If the judges deem it to provide an advantage, the result is recorded as out-of-competition.
8.12. If a participant is injured or cannot continue, the team must contact the judges.
8.13. All rented equipment must be returned. Participants are responsible for missing items.
8.14. Littering, crossing forbidden areas, private property or fields, using motor vehicles or external assistance (except medical help) is prohibited.
8.15. Judges may assign penalties or disqualification for any behaviour that gives an unfair advantage or endangers others.

9.1. Useful equipment: compass with degree markings, waterproof marker, ruler, watch, sports drink, energy food, weather-appropriate clothing.
9.2. Compasses may be rented in advance via the website or email.

9.4. A mobile phone (in waterproof packaging if needed) or whistle is recommended for emergencies.

10. RESULTS AND AWARDING

10.1. Results consist of total checkpoint points minus penalties. If multiple teams (or individuals in MTB or Run) have equal points, the faster time wins.
10.2. Official results are published within 3 days.
10.3. Prizes are awarded to the top 3 in each group. If fewer than 6 teams participate in a group, only 1st place may be awarded. Junior, senior and super senior teams are not ranked in the Open category.
10.4. Protests must be submitted in writing within 15 minutes of results announcement with a 30 EUR deposit. The chief judge’s decision is final.

11. TVNET+ CORPORATE CHALLENGE AWARD

11.1. The purpose of the TVNET+ Corporate Challenge Award is to determine the best company teams, promote team cohesion and offer an exciting sporting adventure. It focuses on participation joy, networking and team building rather than purely competition.
11.2. The corporate entry fee (section 7.2) additionally includes:

  • Separate rogaining and challenge prizes;
  • Link/logo to the company website in the team list;
  • Corporate photo collage;
  • Special offers from partners.

11.3. The Corporate Challenge takes place within the 4-hour distance and teams may be mixed, men or women.
11.4. All general regulations apply unless specified otherwise in section 11.
11.5. Results are determined by total points collected in the 4h distance in the shortest time. Equal scores → faster finish wins.
11.6. Corporate Challenge standings are calculated by summing a company team’s results across all events (lowest result excluded). Ties → shorter total time; if still equal → better final event result.
11.7. Top 3 corporate teams receive special awards. Their results also count in the overall Leģendu Rogaining rankings.

12. PUBLICITY AND PRIVACY

12.1. The event will be photographed and filmed.
12.2. By registering, participants consent to the use of photos/videos taken during the event for marketing and PR purposes without separate approval, and allow sharing of the materials with other participants.
